Mini Bio about me:

My Name is Brett Bennett and I’m a 15-year-old who is currently in year 10. I was born in Darwin on the 2nd of June 2008. I lived in Darwin for 3 years then we moved down to a suburb in Brisbane for about a year, then we moved to Far North Queensland and we are still living in the area. I have a strong love for my pets, and I enjoy being out in the nature riding my bike and exploring new places that I haven’t seen before. I am kind and considerate to others and I thrive to do my best in all STEM related activities (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

I am a Venture scout (15 – 18 years old) and we go on camps and practice our survival skills and improve our skill and agility in activities such as abseiling, caving, bush-walking, kayaking/canoeing etc. In the future I want to study a Bachelor of Computer Science and a Bachelor of Information Technology so I can achieve the career and reach my goals that I want to achieve. I enjoy spending time with my family such as having movie nights or going out for lunch and dinner at restaurants.

I have a strong interest in all things that include technology whether that’s repairing computers, programming software or even just taking tech apart. I am studying the programming languages JavaScript, Python, HTML and CSS. I am using these languages to create games, websites and different types of programs that can function properly and efficiently. I have a high knowledge of understanding in the subject math, science, and other STEM related subjects. In enjoy helping my mum work and I really like to help others when they are struggling with technology. One of my favorite things to do is to understand how the software works in the background and what processes and functions it executes and it helps me to get more ideas to create more programs.

I have a passion for mountain biking and riding my bike off-road. I love going camping in all sorts of places and experiencing what surviving in different conditions is really like.

Projects I am working on:

I am working of a few projects of my own and that is learning how to make a software that is able detect and save users data entry lodgements, and I am learning theses skills to be able to make an efficient app that is like a social media platform. Im also working on some basic game development and that’s making simple arcade games and making an Arcade Games launcher so when I click the game I want to open it will execute the function then it will open the application for the chosen game.

I am also working learning how to combine HTML, CSS, and Python together to be able to make a functional website. I am learning how to make code and variables in python object orientated so it is easier to read, and it will have a quicker response time with the user. In the future I want to work on First Person 3D games and get an understanding of unreal engine and unity so I can be able to make a functional game.
